  23. You are talking ancient history. Yeah the amiga was a good machine. I even have
  24. an a1200 around here somewhere. But it just isn't supported, plain and simple.
  25. A good computer without software is... well... an expensive doorstop.

  64. This is also true. I loved the days when I was formating a 3.5, decompressing a crack 
  65. and playing a game at the same time. <sigh> But the amiga was way to attatched to the
  66. 3.5 drive and so was the software developers.

  102. The P60 is out of date? Depends on what you want to do with it. Is your A4k keeping up or
  103. is it just that there hasn't been any new software to challenge it. People always want
  104. the latest thing and if amigas were still popular the A4k would have been outdated years
  105. ago! The motorola line of cpu`s would be up to 050's and 060's. But motorola saved its
  106. ass by getting into other markets, while the PC architecture went public and the 
  107. proprietary machines (mac and amiga) started to lose the market.

  118. In conclusion: I loved the amiga, it was a great machine. It multitasked well, used the
  119. motorola chip well and had some decent software. And I would love to see it challenge
  120. the pc market, but unless Escom has a golden goose up its sleeve I just don't see
  121. that happening. (in the USA)

  123. BTW, europeans are not dumb for buying amigas. There is a better amiga software
  124. market in europe.
